Walid Neymar Fuseini has described his transfer to Asante Kotoko as the realisation of a lifelong dream, highlighting the club’s rich pedigree in Ghanaian and African football.
The 25-year-old midfielder completed his medical earlier this week before signing a three-year contract with the Porcupine Warriors. He joins on a free transfer following the collapse of his former club, Nsoatreman FC.
Known for his versatility, Fuseini is capable of dictating play from central midfield, operating in advanced roles, or slotting in effectively from the right flank.
Speaking to Kotoko’s media team, the midfielder expressed his excitement and readiness to make an immediate impact.
“This is the moment I’ve been waiting for. Playing for a club of Kotoko’s stature is a dream come true, and I believe my qualities can make a real impact here,” Fuseini said.
Fuseini brings with him significant top-flight experience, having made 81 Ghana Premier League appearances and featured in four CAF Confederation Cup matches — a record that underscores his ability to compete on both domestic and continental stages.
He began his professional career with Bolga All Stars, where his technical ability and dynamism earned him recognition as one of the league’s emerging talents. Over time, he has grown into a consistent and reliable performer, now primed to take on one of the biggest challenges of his career with the Reds.
