Hearts of Oak former marksman, Kwadwo Obeng Jr says that he bears no malice against the club.

Obeng Jnr, who joined Hearts of Lions on a two-year contract in the ongoing transfer window, featured in the Homowo Cup match against Hearts of Oak on Sunday, which they lost.

The striker has been unattached since exiting the fold of the Phobians in January 2024, missing the entire second round of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.

Speaking to Asempa FM he thanked the fans of Hearts of Oak for the trust they had in him during his time at the club.

"I have no regret playing for Hearts of Oak," Obeng Jr told Asempa FM.

"I was determined to continue playing for the club, but unfortunately, the management felt otherwise. I was awarded a one-year contract extension, but it was later rescinded, and I left the team. However, I have moved on and I'm focusing on my new team, Heart of Lions."
