Ghanaian football legend Ibrahim Sunday has offered his full support for Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara, praising both his character and leadership abilities.
The former Black Stars player expressed confidence in Ouattara’s potential to guide the club to success. Speaking on Asempa FM, Sunday shared that the two have been long-time friends, revealing that Ouattara personally reached out to him when he took on the coaching role at Hearts of Oak.
“I was with Aboubakar Ouattara in Ivory Coast. He called me when he was coming to Ghana to coach Hearts of Oak. He’s a good person and a good coach,” Sunday stated. “I hope that he gets things right and starts winning a lot of games for Hearts of Oak.”
Sunday’s endorsement carries weight, given his revered status in Ghanaian football. Hearts of Oak are set to face their rivals Asante Kotoko in their next Ghana Premier League match, and the support from such a prominent figure will be a boost to Ouattara’s leadership as he aims to steer the club toward victory.
