Hearts of Oak captain Gladson Awako has pledged to work hard after putting pen to paper to extend his deal with the Phobians until 2024.
Awako, 31, bucked the trend when he decided to sign an extension amid news of certain crop of players in their fold - refusing to renew their current contract with the Rainbow shirted side.
"I'm very happy to have extended my contract with this beautiful family. It's amazing because this is my childhood club and it is a club I have always wanted to play for before I quit football in future," the midfielder said after inking an extension.
"With this opportunity, I will continue to work hard and promote the brand of our glorious club. Phoooobia! Masters, Awako voiced.
In August, 2021, Awako made a switch to Hearts of Oak from sworn city rivals Great Olympics after a fantastic outing with Oly Dade in the Ghana Premier League.
