Tuesday afternoon saw Aduana Stars FC announce a major shake-up in their technical team.

Coach Yaw Acheampong was relieved of his duties following a procession of poor results in the Ghanaian Premier League (GPL), making way for Aristică Cioabă.

Cioabă, a Romanian tactician with a wealth of experience, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity.

“I need the support. I like and love the supporters of Aduana Stars. I have a good relationship with them and I know they are in support of my comeback," he said at his unveiling.

He urged the fans of the club to rally behind the team as he emphasized values such as integrity and excellence as the foundation of his approach.

“Now the team is down and I believe with togetherness we can get better. I returned for the supporters. I will urge them to support the team in our next three games. We need to come together in our next three games and aftermath, we will fix the problems."

Aristică Cioabă faces the majestic task of reviving Aduana Stars’ dominance in the domestic league while making sure the team achieves great things both domestically and on the continental front.

A strong start is imperative, as the Fire Boys’ leadership and supporters demand immediate results as they travel to Berekum to take on Chelsea in matchday 13 fixture of the GPL this weekend.
