Former Black Stars midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has strongly tipped Samartex FC to emerge winners of this year's Ghana Premier League and added they have been the better side in the league by far.
The 33-year-old is currently not playing active football but has previously featured for Berekum Arsenal, Asante Kotoko and Great Olympics
He's won over 70 appearances with the Black Stars and was an integral member of the 2009 Black Satellites World Cup winning team
The Timber Giants in their second season in the topflight have been very outstanding and dominant having turned their Nsenkyire Sports Complex into a fortress.
The Samreboi-based side humbled Bofoakwa Tano FC by an emphatic 3-0 in the last round of matches, thanks to goals from Baba Musah Hamadu, Evans Osei-Owusu and Emmanuel Owusu Boakye.
Coach Nurudeen Amadu's men have seventeen wins, four draws and nine loses from thirty matches and are currently leading the table with 55 points with four games to play.
In an interview on Service Radio in Sunyani, the former Udinese Calcio star has heaped praises on Samartex FC for their consistency and strongly believes they stand tall above the other clubs to win the league.
"I tip Samartex to win the league. I have 98% belief that they will emerge as champions after the season, despite three games left to spare."
“They have performed exceptionally well as a team, displaying remarkable tactical discipline," he added.
"If any team will win the league this year, it will be them, no doubt."
Samartex FC will play as visitors to Heart of Lions at the Kpando Stadium on Sunday, May 26, 2024.
