Fabio Gama, the Brazilian international, expressed his satisfaction in etching his name into the history books of Asante Kotoko, the Ghanaian giants, after playing a significant role in the club's conquest of the Ghana Premier League title.
Gama's contributions were pivotal during Asante Kotoko's successful campaign in the 2021/22 season, culminating in their triumph in the domestic top-flight competition. This achievement came after finishing behind Hearts of Oak, who claimed the title in the 2020/21 season.
In an interview with Ghanasportspage, Gama emphasized that his name will forever be associated with the club's history due to his impactful performances throughout his two-year tenure.
“We failed during my first season because we were not able to win the trophy and finished second on the league table.
“But we were the champions in the second season so for me I achieved my goal at Kotoko because the club had gone far before winning the Ghana Premier League so I believe that I put my name in the history books of the club forever after winning the trophy.
“As a member of the 2021/22 Premier champions, the fans will remember name. I believe that and it is very incredible for me,”
Currently, the skillful midfielder continues his professional career with Al-Muharraq SC, the Bahraini giants, further showcasing his talents on the global stage.
