Assistant coach of Accra Lions, John Francis expressed frustration following how they were treated during their match against Heart of Lions at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Saturday.
Prior to the match, Accra Lions and Heart of Lions were compelled to warm up outside the stadium due to the Community Games held at the match venue.
And, according to the Accra Lions coach who was on the bench for the home team on the night due to the absence of head coach Ibrahim Tanko he hardly spoke to his players ahead of the match.
"Pre-match preparations are important, like today we could not have a team talk because there were speakers in the changing room and there was constant commentary running through, so we weren't able to speak," he said at the post-match presser," he said.
"And then obviously we had to make that journey over there. It is not an excuse but it is important. We do the same warm-ups, the talks we have to have in terms of preparations and if you look at the first half it did not show it in terms of performance. So, it doesn't help."
The game ended with both sides failing to score following a pulsating encounter.
