Hearts of Oak assistant coach, Mohammed Hamza Obeng has chosen Kotoko's Franck Mbella over Daniel Afriyie Barnieh as his best player of the season.
The Cameroonian forward since joining Kotoko has been sensational having notched 21 goals to finish as the second highest top scorer and also won the GPL in the just ended season.
However, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh also had a decent season though they couldn't held onto their league title but managed to win the league cup, and was also subsequently adjudged the competition's best player.
In an interview on Akoma FM in Kumasi, the young tactician has praised the performance of the Cameroonian poacher and tipped him as his best player in the just ended season. He said;
"Afriyie Barnie is the best player at Heats this season but in the league, I will say Mbella is my best."
"He really did well, a foreigner playing for a big team with much pressure and still manage to score those goals, definitely I will say he's the best."
