Baba Sadiq, the former Chief Executive Officer of 3 Media Networks, has shared his plans for Accra Hearts of Oak if he were to be appointed as Managing Director.
Although he was linked to the position last year, Baba Sadiq has since shifted his focus to running for the parliamentary seat of Okaikoi Central.
Speaking to Radio Gold, Baba Sadiq expressed his admiration for Hearts of Oak and their impact on Ghanaian football, saying that they come second to none.
He went on to explain his vision for the club, which includes leveraging their history and legacy to attract young fans, filling up stadiums, and ensuring that the club is commercially successful.
Baba Sadiq also emphasized the importance of innovation, which he believes will be key in keeping Hearts of Oak relevant and successful in the future.
“Accra Hearts of Oak comes second to none, there is no club that has had the impact that Hearts of Oak has had.
“So for me the thinking was how do we leverage all these, the history, the legacy of Accra Hearts of Oak and bring all of that to bare and ensuring that the millennials continue and take it off from there.
“And how do we ensue that we are able to build on that to attract the attention of young people so that they can fill up the stadia, they can buy our merchandize, and they can ensure that we bring all the commercial partnerships that we have is top notch.
“Bring all the innovation that I’m known for into ensuring that Accra Hearts of Oak continues to be the biggest and the most relevant and commercially successful club from Ghana.” Baba Sadiq said.
