Mercurial midfielder, Julius Ziggy Ofori expresses delight for joining Kotoko and has described them as a big club every Ghanaian player will wish to play for.
The 24-year-old joined the Porcupine Warriors in the just-closed summer transfer window on a free transfer and agreed to sign three years after a fruitful negotiations.
After an impressive preseason with the club in Beposo, the mercurial midfielder was fortunate to make the starting line up over the weekend in their goalless draw with Kpando Heart of Lions in their opening game of the season.
Speaking after the game, Julius Ofori reveals his affection for the club since infancy and is very elated to have finally joined the club.
“Absolutely, Asante Kotoko is a very big team, and like I said, I grew up in Amakom. Kotoko is right at my doorstep and is a big team. Every player wants to play for such a big team."
“I have always loved it, and it has always been in my heart since my infancy.”
He will hope for another starting against Bibiani Goldstars this weekend in the match-day 2 of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.
