James Francis, head coach of Accra Lions has revealed that his new players have gotten grips of his system and have already adapted quickly.
The Englishman has introduced a 4-2-3-1 formation, with the team so far starting their opening Ghana Premier League game with a draw against reigning Champions Medeama SC.
However, the Lions coach, who is satisfied with his new players adaptation to his system and tactics, reckons it will favor them in subsequent matches.
“The new signings that have come in, have adapted to the system and the way we want to play,” James Francis said. “We've really strengthened in every position, in terms of the back four, the midfield unit, and the attacking.
“I am really pleased with how they have adapted.”
Accra Lions posted a 2-2 draw away at Akoon Park against Medeama SC, with Samuel Gyimah and Ali Mohammed scoring for the capital based side.
Daniel Lomotey and Jonathan Sowah scored for the Yellow and Mauves to force the match to end on a pulsating draw in front of their own fans.
