Ghanaian international, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has express elation after his season long loan to English side Leicester City from Portuguese side Sporting CP.

The 19-year-old is switching to the English side mainly to seek much playing time, having struggled to walk his way into the Sporting CP first team since joining them in April 2022.

He's really been sensational in the youth ranks but has always struggled to establish himself as a mainstay in Rubin Amorim's team.

In an interview with the club's official website, the Black Stars flanksman feels super elated for this switch and hopes to learn and develop more at the King Power Stadium.

"I’m so happy. This is an amazing moment for me, I’m happy to be here. For me, from looking at Leicester and how I felt about the coach, here is the best place for me."

“This was the best moment for me to join Leicester. I chose them because I think they can grow me and help me mature. [Enzo Maresca] told me about the plans he has for me and how he wants me to play – how he wants to help me in my football.”

The Foxes agreed to include the versatile winger to their squad as they look to bolster their squad for the new season as they look to secure a quick return into the Premier League.
