Accra Lions have added yet another promising young attacking player to their ranks with the signing of Abdul-Shakun Abubakari.

 

Abubakari arrived from Tamale Steadfast FC for an undisclosed fee, where he had developed into an hot prospect, lightning Zone 1 of the Northern Region Division One League with his silky skill.

 

However, the deal also includes supplementary add-ons as well as a sell-on clause which has been weaved into the contract.


The winger who scored seven goals in 23 games for Steadfast FC last season has signed a three-year deal with Lions which sees him commit his future until the summer of 2026.


"We are pleased to announce the signing of Abdul-Shakun Abubakari. The powerful and speedy winger scored 7 goals in 23 matches for @DivisionOneGH side Steadfast FC last season." Lions confirmed the signing on their official social handles.


Abubakari, who is regarded as an highly-rated lad leaves the Tamale-based side, having annexed vast experience of youth football under his belt.


His combative, deep-lying attacking craft with a knack for goals and well-laid passing ability, apt to a role pairing with the main striker, often sending tormenting signals to opposing defenders with his fast movements on the field of play.
