Abednego Tetteh, the forward for Bibiani Goldstars, believes that the club's success this season should take precedence over personal achievements.
Despite scoring 10 goals thus far and trailing Berekum Chelsea's Mezack Afriyie by just two goals, Tetteh insists that winning the Ghana Premier League goal king title is not his primary goal.
After scoring two goals to help Bibiani Goldstars secure a 3-2 victory against Legon Cities in matchday 25 of the league, Tetteh emphasized that his focus is on helping his team finish in the top four, if not winning the league.
He stated, “My target is, first for my team to be in the top four if not winning the league but for the goal king is a secondary matter, when I win it I will give thanks to God”
Asked if he can win the goal king, Tetteh said, “I hope so but that is not my target now, the target is to help my team to be in the top four”
Bibiani Goldstars is currently ranked 6th on the league table with 38 points after playing 25 matches in the campaign.
