Asante Kotoko midfielder Richmond Lamptey has lauded teammate Isaac Oppong, expressing confidence in the young player's potential to reach greater heights in his career.
Recovering from injury, Oppong has emerged as a standout performer for the Porcupine Warriors in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.
In the recent week 14 encounter against Hearts of Oak, Oppong showcased his skills, contributing to Kotoko's 3-2 victory at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Lamptey, in an interview with the club's media, predicted a bright future for Oppong, citing his talent, skillfulness, and ability to challenge opponents for the ball. Lamptey believes players with such qualities often achieve significant success in their careers.
“Isaac Oppong has a bright future. He is a talented player, very skillful and difficult for opponent players to dispossessed him of the ball, such players usually go far in their career” he said.
Asante Kotoko is set to face Great Olympics in the Ghana Premier League week 15 clash this weekend.
Currently, the Porcupine Warriors hold the 7th position in the league standings with 22 points from 14 games.
