Hearts of Oak hero over the weekend, Mawuli Wayo has expressed elation for his double in their 2-3 win over Accra Lions and is looking forward to replicating similar performances going forward.

The Rainbow Club scored first through Hussein Mohammed but the Lions overturned things to lead 2-1 thanks to goals from Nigerian duo Lucky Nwafor and Ezekiel Alladoh.

However, Mawuli Wayo came off the bench and netted a brace in three minutes to stage a fightback to help Hearts of Oak run out with all three points.

Speaking after the game, the enterprising attacker stated he was very optimistic they were going to win the game even when at the bend and described the feeling as a great one.

"I feel great. It’s been an honour to come inside and do the job for my coach, so I feel amazing,” Wayo remarked

“I knew we would come back and overtake them. I knew no matter what, we would take the three points,” he said.

Mawuli Wayo hasn't really been a starter but has four goals so far this season has scored four goals in 11 league matches.
