Godwin Ablordey, the assistant coach of Kumasi-based team King Faisal, has emphasized the importance of their upcoming match against Samartex in the 31st round of the Ghana Premier League, describing it as a must-win game.
Currently positioned in the relegation zone, occupying 17th place with 36 points from 30 matches, King Faisal's survival in the top flight depends on their performance in the remaining matches.
Ablordey believes that securing a victory against Samartex is crucial to keeping their hopes of staying in the Premier League alive.
"It's a must-win game. If we want to remain in the Premier League, we have to defeat Samartex. This is a home game, and it is imperative that we win and maintain our position in the league. Everything is within our control. Both the coaching staff and the players are fully committed to training hard and ensuring that we secure our place in the league," Ablordey emphasized.
In addition to their league battle, King Faisal has also secured a spot in the finals of the FA Cup.
They are set to face Dreams FC on July 17, 2023, as they aim to claim the coveted trophy.
