Samartex FC head coach, Nurudeen Amadu has accepted Hearts of Oak's opposition was a very difficult one but all the same they managed to grind all three points in the end to maintain their top-spot.
The Timber Giants nipped on two goals from mercurial winger Evans Osei-Wusu to edge the giants by 2-1 in Samreboi in the opening fixture of Ghana Premier League match-week 23 last Saturday.
The Phobians' consolation was scored by young sensation Hamza Issah- who netted his ninth goal of the season
Speaking on StarTimes after the game, the 53-year-old gaffer lauded the impact of Evans Osei-Wusu in this win and added Hearts of Oak gave them a very good run for their money.
"We knew it was going to tough, Hearts is a big team and they have set up their performance in the second round so we strategized. We lost our goalkeeper and Baba Armando but all the same we strategized in a way to get the three points."
"We will take it match after match and as you've seen I gave him some rotational role to play. He is not static, he is very mobile and is helping our attacking play so we are going to continue to work hard", he concluded
Samartex FC after the win, have 42 points and have now opened a five points lead at the top and will face champions Medeama SC in the next round of matches.
