Asante Kotoko midfielder Seth Kwadwo has reaffirmed the team’s determination to reclaim the Ghana Premier League title following their impressive 4-2 victory over Karela United at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The Porcupine Warriors delivered a dominant performance in their Matchday 8 fixture, with goals from Hubert Gyau, Joseph Ablorh, and Peter Acquah Amidu sealing a vital win. The result provided a perfect response to their recent CAF Confederation Cup exit and reignited belief among the Kotoko faithful.
Speaking after the game, Kwadwo expressed confidence that the victory marked a turning point in their campaign.
“It’s a massive win, and it will boost our morale because it has been our ambition to win this year’s league,” he said.
The midfielder further emphasized that the team’s focus now shifts to their highly anticipated clash against archrivals Hearts of Oak.
“This win will motivate us as we head into the Super Clash. We are assuring our supporters to come in their numbers — we will not disappoint them.”
Kotoko will next travel to the Accra Sports Stadium to face Hearts of Oak in the Matchday 9 Super Clash on Sunday, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00 GMT.
