Hearts of Oak midfielder, Salifu Ibrahim, expressed disappointment over their 1-1 draw against Bofoakwa Tano in the Ghana Premier League week 20 fixture on Monday.

The Phobians took an early lead with Salifu Ibrahim's goal in the 24th minute of the first half. However, their advantage was short-lived as they conceded what appeared to be an own goal just nine minutes into the second half, resulting in a draw.

In a post-match interview with StarTimes, Salifu Ibrahim conveyed his dissatisfaction with the outcome, stating that a victory would have significantly improved their position in the league standings.

“It is not good that we got a draw. We needed the maximum win. It would have pushed us further up the standings. It is sad we drew,” he said.

The draw marked the end of Hearts of Oak's two-game winning streak under new head coach Aboubakar Ouattara, maintaining their position in 8th place on the league table.

Meanwhile, the result offered little relief for Bofoakwa Tano in their relegation battle, as they remain second from bottom on the league log.
