Karela Chief Executive Officer, Elloeny Amande, says Umar Bashiru will stay at the club next season as he insists that they will challenge for the league title next year.

Karela United finished fourth with 42 points last season.

The 24-year-old scored fifteen goals and provided five assists in thirty-three games for Anyinase-based side.

The dominant midfield maestro has previously played for West African Football Academy and Asante Kotoko.

Reports in the local media has linked him with a move to both Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.

Elloeny Amandeh says their midfield jewel will remain at Karela United next season in order to challenge for the league title.

"Tofiakwaa I have heard about that news but trust me he is going nowhere," Amandeh said.

"We are aiming for the ultimate next season and with him [Umar Bashiru] in the team I think we can achieve that," he was optimistic.
