Karela United have completed the signing of goalkeeper Kelvin Kofi Saaba on a three-year contract, the Ghana Premier League club announced on Tuesday.
The 2025 MTN FA Cup finalist joins from Akotoshi Football Club, having impressed during a loan spell with Division One side Golden Kick FC, where he helped guide the club to the FA Cup final against Asante Kotoko.
Saaba’s standout performances in the competition, including several key saves en route to the final, attracted interest from multiple top-flight clubs.
Karela have now secured the 21-year-old's signature ahead of the 2025/26 football season.
“Between the posts! We’re excited to announce the signing of Kelvin Kofi Saaba on a three-year deal from Akotoshi Football Club,” the club said in a statement.
“Kelvin kept the goal post for Golden Kick during the MTN FA Cup finals this year against Asante Kotoko.“
Saaba is expected to compete for the starting spot as Karela look to strengthen their squad following a challenging campaign last term.
