Following the arrest of its winger, Philip Flamini, for alleged sexual abuse of a teenager, Ghana Premier League club, Karela United, has announced that it has taken action against the player.
The club issued a statement stating that Flamini is suspended with immediate effect, pending the conclusion of the ongoing Police investigation into the allegations.
The statement also noted that management will wait for the court's final determination of the case before making any final decision concerning the player's future at the club.
The statement emphasized that the club does not support violence of any kind, particularly against women, and that they will not make any further comments on the matter until the legal processes come to a final conclusion.
