Asante Kotoko Spokesperson, Samuel Sarfo Duku Esq. has rubbished claims that the club is planning on sacking coach Karim Zito stating it’s a practice they have done for years without any better results.

The Porcupine Warriors have been very on and off this season and currently winless in their last two matches; Swedru All Blacks and Berekum Chelsea and are currently in fourth place with 31 points, six above top-spot.

Majority of the supporters and some football pundits in the country feel he isn’t matching up the standard of the club and should be shown the exit door.

With these rumors going round, two coaches; Ignatius Osei Fosu and ex- All Blacks coach Ahmed Fathy have all been strongly linked to the club but the club’s Communication Director has vehemently denied that saying coach Karim Zito is still at post

"When the expectation of our supporters is not being met, obviously, the focus will be on sacking the coach... but I can assure you that we will not rush into taking any such decision," Duku stated in an interview with Luv FM.

“We believe that over the years, that has been the trend. And the question is, has that been helpful to the club? No, so we will not rush into doing that."

Asante Kotoko will be hoping to bounce back on winning ways but will be up for a difficult task against champions Bibiani GoldStars this weekend
