Stopgap coach of Asante Kotoko, Abdul Karim Zito says it is the right decision for him and Dreams FC that he has left and that he is "comfortable" with the way his departure has been handled.
The Porcupine Warriors announced on Tuesday that Zito has been appointed as interim coach and Technical Director after the sacking of Prosper Ogum - who was relieved off his duties on Monday night after a string of poor results and even more disappointing performances.
Speaking for the first time since the announcement, Zito said he decided to return to Kotoko because his allegiance to the team was unwavering.
“I’m leaving what belongs to me to join where I belong. I belong to Kotoko."
Zito has been given a lifetime opportunity to coach the Porcupine Warriors on an interim basis, and he has six games to convince the club’s top brass not to look elsewhere for a head coach next season.
