FC AshantiGold head coach Abdul Karim Zito has urged his players to improve their finishing ahead of their upcoming Ghana Premier League matches against Aduana FC and Asante Kotoko.
AshantiGold returned to winning ways on Sunday with a 1-0 win over FC Samartex in their Matchweek Six fixture of the 2026/27 season.
However, Zito believes his team should have scored more goals, despite being satisfied with their tactical performance.
“We should have had about three goals, but tactically I’m okay,” he told journalists at his post-match press conference.
With difficult matches against Aduana FC and Asante Kotoko approaching, the coach has warned his players against wasting scoring opportunities.
“If you look at our upcoming games, we are going to play Aduana FC, and then we play Asante Kotoko. It’s not going to be easy. We don’t have to miss chances,” Zito added.
AshantiGold will travel to face Aduana FC at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday, October 18, before hosting Asante Kotoko at the Len Clay Sports Stadium on October 25.
Zito hopes his players will score more goals in both matches and continue their good form after beating Samartex.
