Nations FC head coach, Kassim Ocansey Mingle, has expressed elation towards the deserved invitation of his captain Razak Simpson to the Black Stars but has reiterated his absence won't affect them since he has capable successors.
The enterprising center-back was included in coach Otto Addo's squad for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger.
Simpson has been sensational since joining the Eagles and has been handling the captaincy role very well since handed band and has made 9 league appearances so far this season.
The 26-year-old is currently with the senior national team in the capital and has already trained twice with the squad as part of the newbies and is expected to finally make his debut.
When pressed on whether his absence will affect them in their next game against Kotoko, Mingle stated he has lots of options to replace him and that they will be fine even without him.
"We're building a strong team so if any player is unavailable, we will have capable replacements."
The game against Asante Kotoko is slated for Sunday, November 17, at the Len Clay Stadium.
