Midfielder Frank Amankwah’s proposed move to Ghana Premier League side Karela United has fallen through, six days after reports that the two parties had agreed a two-year deal.

Kickgh.com, which reported the agreement six days ago, now confirms the 31-year-old free agent will not be joining the Pride and Passion.

The former Bibiani Gold Stars dazzler, made 26 league appearances last season, scoring once and providing several assists as the club won the Ghana Premier League title.

However, Amankwah parted ways with the league champions earlier this year.

The reasons for the collapse of the deal have not been unraveled as at the time of filing this report.
