King Faisal, a Ghana Premier League team, has named Godwin Ablordey as their acting head coach after parting ways with Jimmy Corbblah on mutual grounds. The club made this announcement on Monday, March 27, via a statement.

Ablordey was previously Corbblah's assistant coach when he was appointed as King Faisal head coach in October 2022. However, after 22 matches, the former Ghana U-20 coach's contract has been terminated.

According to the statement, "We can confirm that we have mutually parted ways with head coach Jimmy Corbblah. Assistant Coach Godwin Ablordey has been put in acting capacity until the employment of a new substantive head coach.”

King Faisal is currently in the 16th position on the Ghana Premier League table, having garnered 25 points from 22 games.

As the acting head coach, Ablordey will be responsible for steering the club towards better fortunes and improving their position in the league.
