Everyone would be right to say, a once upon a time "a force to reckon with" in the local scene have been reduced to it ebbs for the lack of clear path to maintaining a standardized momentum in holding on to this mantra, swindling between cracks and bottom of Ghana football.
Nothing good, so to say, has come out of this club in the last few years, only to remember its promotion back to the top hierarchical order of Ghana football, just for this current GFA administration to be relieved from nagging legal tussles that have engulfed the institution prior to election which saw Great Olympics joining them in the Ghana Premier League in the 2019/2020 season.
Realizing how they have struggled to be relevant again in Ghana Football, particularly in the topflight league where it inked an indelible mark in Ghana football during the early millennium due to proper managerial structures and personnel to lead the affairs of the club, it is not giving hopes of a lasting future in the topflight league.
Contrary to what Great Olympics, who got promoted to the Ghana Premier for same reason, are doing in their return to topflight football, it becomes a jokes to think they will survive to see, magnanimously, the next two seasons in the Ghana Premier League.
Surviving the Ghana Premier League with a whisker in the last two seasons seem to have no lessons learnt from it to thread same path heading towards the upcoming season.
One would have thought relentless efforts would be made in salvaging the ill-mannered approach in running the club to regain their lost stardom in Ghana Football after leaving their teeming supporters in shivery and in a state of quandary from previous seasons.
However, everything clearly points to the fact that those at the top of affairs at King Faisal are incorrigible and self-centered and only look at their personal gains without, as a matter of priority, seeking the progress and well-being of the club.
After surviving the league in the 2020/21 season against Liberty Professionals and selling off Kwame Peprah to Orlando Pirates to a hefty amount around $250,000.00, Management of King Faisal have failed to investment in the club with tried and tested players that will lead the club to stardom akin to the early millenniums.
It is without a shred of doubt that, the state of the club leaves them famished, malnourished to the current trends of football management and will need to gorge to meet the standard of an elite club in the Ghana Premier League that will prepare them to becoming a part of club cherished in Africa.
They have intensely invigorated their arsenal with new recruits in the just ended transfer window heading towards next season bringing in seven experienced new players. But it is same trend King Faisal have been in since they got promotion into the topflight league three seasons ago and have always struggled to survive.
A change of pattern in running the club professionally at Managerial level is the only way to keep the fate of the club in Ghana's topflight league. Indecisiveness, lackadaisical approach and show of ill-fate will not augur well for King Faisal and it will be surprising if they keep their Premier League status after the 2023/24 season.
