Public Relations Officer of Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo says they can't force Sulley Muntari to play for them and reveals that they have started negotiations for him to re-sign for Hearts of Oak.

He however admitted that will be difficult to register Sulley Muntari because the transfer window has closed.

Sulley Muntari signed a six-month contract with Hearts of Oak in January, but he is yet to extend his deal with the club after the expiration of his contract.

Hearts of Oak won the MTN FA cup but unfortunately they could not defend the Ghana Premier league, placing 6th in the 2020/21 season.

Hearts of Oak have signed twelve player in the just ended transfer window.

Hearts of Oak will be competing in the CAF Confederations Cup next season.

Opare Addo says they are in talks to re-sign Sulley Muntari but admits that it will be difficult to register him because the transfer window has closed.

"Muntari has a decision to make but the most important thing for us is that, he came in and play for us for a particular period which we had an agreement," he told Onua TV.

“If he will continue with us, there will be another agreement to continue because these are footballing issues but if he has a different decision you cannot force somebody to do something for you if the person has a different decision."

“For now, the club is still in talks with Muntari but unfortunately the transfer window has closed, so if there is anything that can be done, we will look at it but unfortunately the transfer window has closed” he concluded.

Samuel Boadu's side are currently participating in the GHALCA G6 Tournament preparing for the 2022/23 season.
