Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has called on his players to maintain full concentration as they prepare for their Week 15 encounter with Eleven Wonders in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.
Speaking ahead of the midweek tie, Zito described the fixture as a difficult test despite the struggles of their opponents this season.
“It’s very tricky because this is a league we are playing and we cannot underrate anybody. We must stay focused to achieve our objective,” he told AKSC Media.
The experienced coach stressed that Kotoko are approaching every game with the same level of force, regardless of the opposition.
“Throughout this week we didn’t give the players any chance to relax. We are turning our minds to the fact that every match Kotoko plays is a difficult match,” he added.
Kotoko have found consistency away from home harder to come by, but Zito says the team remain committed to their long-term target.
“I think it’s unfortunate that we are not winning many away matches. The league is still ongoing, so there is no need for calculations now. We are still staying focused on our objective that we need to win the league,” he said.
Asante Kotoko face Eleven Wonders today (Wednesday), December 24, with kick-off scheduled for 4pm at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
