Asante Kotoko forward, Wisdom Fernando Bassey took his opportunity to impress in a 1-0 Ghana Premier League victory over Nsoatreman FC at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on late Wednesday afternoon.

 

The Porcupine Warriors success came through an energetic pressing game from Elvis Kyei Baffour in particular, who scored the only goal of the match.

 

Bassey subbed Elvis Kyei Baffour in the 64th minute, as Kotoko overwhelmed the visitors and forced them into costly errors at the back.

 

Speaking after the match, Ogum had special praise for the Nigerian forward, who looked lively up front.

 

"The playing body and the technical team are all happy for Wisdom Bassey because he made an impact," he stated. 

 

Asante Kotoko are now bossing the second position on the league standings with eight points after five rounds of matches.
