Dreams FC coach Abdul Karim Zito shared his thoughts on Asante Kotoko's recent struggles, suggesting that it would be unwise for the club to part ways with coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.

Following Dreams FC's 2-0 victory over Kotoko in Dawu, extending Kotoko's winless streak to seven games, Zito voiced his support for Ogum, emphasizing that everyone goes through ups and downs in football.

Zito urged stakeholders to stand by Ogum, the players, and the management until the end of the season, despite the current challenges faced by the team.

. “No one can tell me Prosper Narteh is not a good coach, he is a good coach. In football, there are moment and it can be positive or negative and that’s what happening with Ogum at the moment”

“Now things are not going as expected as Kotoko. You can’t make any signing or offload a player now so you have to comprise and use the players you have at your disposal now. I will urge all the stakeholders to support Ogum, playing body, and management until the season comes to an end so we can dialogue for the next campaign”

“The fear of failure has gripped the players, I saw it on the field of play when we played them. If the situation do not change, the players might feign injuries just to miss games”

“We cannot change the players at the moment. The squad available will have to finish the season, so they should forget about winning the league and ensure we are not relegated”

He noted the players' fear of failure and suggested that the squad available should focus on avoiding relegation rather than aiming for the league title.

Asante Kotoko currently sits in eleventh place on the Ghana Premier League table with 33 points from 26 matches.

Their next challenge will be facing league leaders Samartex in matchday 27 of the Ghanaian top-flight.
