Despite Bibiani Gold Stars' 2-0 loss to Accra Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, head coach Stephen Frimpong Manso expressed contentment with his team's performance.
In a postgame interview, Frimpong-Manso pointed out the challenging travel schedule his team faced in recent weeks as a factor in their defeat.
Despite the loss, Frimpong-Manso stood by his team's approach, attributing the setback to conceding a goal in the first half.
He stressed the importance of adjusting their strategy according to the opponent's strengths, saying, "They have skilled players, so we needed more midfielders. Playing with just two attackers would have left us outnumbered in midfield."
"At home, it might work, but away against such a team, it's not wise. I believe our approach was good; we just conceded a goal early," Frimpong-Manso concluded.
