Heart of Lions forward Kwadwo Obeng Junior has expressed strong belief that his side can maintain their perfect start to the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign when they face Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
The Kpando-based club, the only team with three wins from three matches this season, will lock horns with the Porcupine Warriors at the Baba Yara Stadium on matchday four. Lions have already defeated Bechem United, Eleven Wonders, and Dreams FC, and Obeng Junior is eager to add Kotoko to their list of victims.
“We are going to play our fourth league match against Asante Kotoko and thankfully we have started on a good note, so we are going all out against Kotoko in Kumasi to collect points there,” Obeng Junior told Mo TV.
“It’s not a difficult game. We take the matches one after the other. We have cleared three hurdles and Kotoko is the fourth, so we have to add Kotoko to the casualties. They still have the same team as last season, but we also have a strong team. We finished second last season, so it doesn’t matter the quality Kotoko has.”
Meanwhile, Kotoko will approach the clash with renewed confidence after advancing in the CAF Confederation Cup with a hard-fought win over Kwara United.
