Defender Kwadwo Amoako is set to join Asante Kotoko after leaving former Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC. The experienced right-back recently ended his stint with Medeama SC, making him a free agent.
Amidst a significant overhaul of the Porcupine Warriors' squad, Amoako is poised to return to Kumasi. He is expected to join the team’s pre-season preparations soon under the direction of coach Prosper Ogum as they regroup following a challenging previous season.
Amoako brings extensive experience in the Ghana Premier League, having previously played for Ashantigold and Medeama. His notable contributions last season helped Medeama reach the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
Asante Kotoko is also preparing for the Democracy Cup clash against Hearts of Oak, scheduled for July 17, 2024.
