Asante Kotoko's new signing, Kwame Opoku, has praised his teammate Albert Amoah for his exceptional goal-scoring performances this season in the Ghana Premier League.
Amoah has been in impressive form, netting seven goals for the Porcupine Warriors, with his latest strike coming in the Super Clash against rivals Hearts of Oak at Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Opoku, who rejoined Kotoko and was unveiled to the fans during the Hearts game, highlighted Amoah's contributions to the team's success and expressed confidence in his future.
“So far, Albert Amoah has impressed me because he’s the one who has been scoring goals to get the team the results. They are all doing well, but Albert is my choice because he’s the one who gets the team the results with his goals,” Opoku said.
Opoku also lauded Amoah’s potential, noting his excellent runs, composure in front of goal, and natural goal-scoring ability. "Albert has all the qualities to be at the top level. If you look at his runs, his composure in front of goal, and his goal-scoring ability, you can tell he’s a talent to watch. I’m not surprised he’s the one leading the team right now. He has a lot to offer this club,” he added.
Asante Kotoko currently sit in 6th place on the GPL table with 21 points, as they continue to rely on Amoah’s prolific form.
