Medeama SC have mutually parted ways with head coach Nebojsa Kapor following their 3-2 defeat to Vision FC on Saturday in Tema.

The Bosnian tactician, who joined the club on a one-year deal in December 2023, departs after both sides reportedly failed to reach an agreement on a contract extension.

Kapor’s exit follows an inconsistent campaign for Medeama, who began the season as title favourites in the Ghana Premier League but have struggled to maintain momentum.

The Mauves and Yellows currently sit three points off the league summit with 21 points after 13 games, recording six wins, three draws, and four losses. Despite being within touching distance of the top spot, the club’s inability to string together consistent performances is believed to have prompted the decision.

Medeama SC is yet to name a replacement as they aim to regroup and refocus for the remainder of the season.
