The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association have fined Legon Cities FC Ghc10,000 in what is described as gross misconduct in their season opener against Medeama SC.

The Royals succumbed to a narrow 1-0 loss to the Mauve and Yellows at the El-Wak Stadium to lose their home invincibility in their first fixture of the 2022/23 football season.

Having lost the game, the homesters out of displeasure wanted to attack center referee Charles Bulu and his assistants since they believe he cheated them in the game and misplaced his car tyres.

The GFA's discipline body after thoroughly investigating the issue have found Legon Cities guilty on three counts and have tasked them to pay Ghc8,000 as a fine, including Ghc2,000 to the referee, summing up to Ghc10,000.

Coach Maxwell Konadu and his charges have two wins in their opening three games in the just-started GPL season which has currently been put on hold due to court Injunction.
