Legon Cities FC defender, Michael Ampadu has been given a five matches ban for his red card against Medeama SC in their season opener.
The Royals succumbed to a narrow 1-0 loss to the Mauve and Yellows at the El-Wak Stadium to lose their home recent invincibility in their first fixture of the 2022/23 football season.
Having lost the game, the homesters out of displeasure wanted to attack center referee Charles Bulu and his assistants since they believe they were cheated by the officials reason for their loss.
The former Black Meteors lateral was shown the matching orders on the 78th minute after furiously protesting the referee's decision to red card Michael Otou.
Usually, the player is expected to serve two matches ban on sideline but due to some other insubordination on his part, Ampadu has been asked to stay aside from Legon Cities next five matches.
