Head coach of Hearts of Oak, Martin Koopman has described their hefty win against Medeama as his best home game so far as gaffer of the club this season.

The Phobians secured their second win when they defeated Medeama 3-1 at Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday, with Medeama's goalkeeper Appiah Kubi scoring an own goal, and Hamza Issah notching twice to seal it for his side.

Koopman praised and saluted his players and the fight they put out to trounce their 'stubborn' opponents on the day.

“At home, I think yes [this was my best game as a Hearts of Oak coach] but the last game was also good,” the Dutchman said.

“They (fans) have waited a long time (to see this) but if you are patient, we did it in the training session and it is now reflecting in the game," Koopman added.

Hearts of Oak have now moved to the 13th spot on nine points. They will next travel to Tamale to face Karela United in their match-week 9 fixture on Saturday, November 4, 2023.
