Head coach of Bibiani Gold Stars, Frimpong Manso has cited his team's poor conditioning for their MTN FA Cup defeat to Attram de Visser.
In the round of 16 clash at the Tuba AstroTurf on Friday after a blank draw in regulation time, the Division One League side knocked out the Ghana Premier League table toppers 4-2 spot-kick loss.
Attram de Visser has been playing week-in-and-week-out in the Division One League which gave them upper hand over Gold Stars, due to the Ghanaian top flight been held up due to the gruesome murder of Asante Kotoko fan, Francis Frimpong, also known as Nana Pooley.
However, Manso agreed that the break off in the GPL altered his team's brilliance on the field.
“We’ve been out for about two weeks [due to the suspension of the Ghana Premier League], and they are still in competition,” Manso said.
“At certain points in the game, you could see that they still had match fitness.
“You could see, at some instances, that we didn’t have match fitness, but there were some chances we got that we could have converted. Then it got to penalties, which is a fifty-fifty game," he added.
