Ghana National Gas Company has officially commenced the construction of a FIFA-standard Astro-turf at Asante Kotoko's Adako Jachie training grounds, Kickgh.com can exclusively report.
The facility, which measures 70 by 108 meters, is expected to be completed within six months. The project is being executed by Blaze Investment Construction, under the supervision of contractor Alhaji Salifu Sinkare.
The modern turf will feature a 10,000-seater stand, floodlights, fencing, an inner perimeter, a coaches' bench, and a well-structured drainage system to meet international standards.
The construction forms part of the ongoing development of the Adako Jachie training grounds under the patronage of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
A natural grass pitch has already been completed, while a 7-a-side Astro-turf is also under construction.
