King Faisal FC record second straight defeat after slipping to another painful 2-3 loss to Aduana Stars at the Baba Yara Stadium today in match-week 2 of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season
The visitors started on a brighter note and nearly snatched the lead on the 8th minute but a great goal line clearance from Joseph Gordon rescued the situation for the host.
Just eight minutes after, Aduana Stars opened the scoring account through skipper Bright Adjei, who netted his second goal of the season.
King Faisal begun settling really well in the game and made decent attempts notably Baba Yahaya's 20th minute strike which was dealt with properly by Yaw Ansah Fufro.
Their constant pressure yielded them the equaliser on the 28th minute thanks to right back, Haruna Mohammed's strike from outside the box.
Just six minutes after drawing level, the 'Ogya' lads scored again through midfielder Kwame Adom Frimpong to restore their lead.
The 'Insha Allah' lads started the second half on a higher note and nearly scored again but Abednego Tetteh's towering header from Kusi's inswinger went wide.
Despite the pressure mounted on them at the start, Aduana Stars managed to contain and hit back to get their third goal through Solomon Aboagye on the 54th minute.
The host took total control once again but always struggling to penetrate the backline of the visitors.
King Faisal reduced the deficit once again just on the stroke of full time through Elias Elias who scored with a fine finish.
It ended 2-3 for Aduana Stars after full time, having maintained their perfect start to the season.
