Two second half goals from Sam Adams and Kwame Adom Frimpong rescued Aduana Stars from an embarrassing home defeat to the Ghana Premier League newbies at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.

Aduana Stars were held to a 2-2 home stalemate by FC Samartex 1996 in their match-week three fixture on Sunday afternoon.

 
FC Samartex 1996 dominated the first department of the fixture as they made good use of the early incursions to register two goals.
 
Before the half-hour mark, former Asante Kotoko midfielder Emmanuel Keyekeh snatched the opener for the visitors with an audacious strike which deflected off Bright Enchil into the back of Aduana Stars' net on the 28th minute.
 
The Premier League newbies continued their impressive performance to double the lead, with just three minutes to the end of the first half.
 
On the 42nd minute, Abubakar Seidu registered his second goal of the season for FC Samartex 1996 to hand them a 2-0 lead at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa.
 
Back from the break, Aduana Stars exercised their attacking muscles to register two goals to secure a vital point to maintain their unbeaten streak after three games.
 
Winger Sam Adams and Kwame Adom Frimpong registered their names on the score sheet for Aduana Stars on the 53rd and 78th minute respectively.
 
The two teams had late opportunities to grab the match-winner but they failed to make them count including the set-pieces awarded to them in the last ten minutes of the game.
 
The fixture ended in a 2-2 draw at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa.
