Karela United recorded their second home win of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season after defeating Dreams FC at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park.
The ‘Pride and Passion’ lads ended Dreams FC unbeaten streak after inflicting a 2-0 defeat on the Dawu-based club in their match-week three encounter on Sunday afternoon.
Karela United commenced the fixture on good note with an intense pressure piled up on Dreams FC to concede two-quick goals before the half-hour mark.
The backline of Dreams FC were left under-pressure by the upfront of Karela United with the dangerous attacks launched in the early minutes of the game.
Winger Kelvin Andoh opened the score for the hosts with a fine strike on the 11th minute after a solo run.
Seven minutes later, Enoch Agblenyo made it 2-0 for Karela United after making a good use of a pass from Patrick Mensah.
Dreams FC warmed themselves into the fixture to enjoy some possession but they failed to make a good account of the chances created as the first half ended in a 2-0 win for Karela United
In the second half, Karela United continued their impressive performance as displayed in the first half but none of their efforts earned them additional goals.
Dreams FC also came close to reduce the deficit but their attempts went futile as the fixture ended in a 2-0 for the home side at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in Aiyinase.
