Two late goals spark a dramatic ending at the Ohene Gyan Stadium as Accra Lions FC nipped on Ali Mohammed's 93rd minute goal to secure a vital 2-1 win over Karela United in match-day 9 of the Ghana Premier League.

Accra Lions opened the scoring account in just two minutes from the start through Yahaya Mohammed headed in after Hamzata's effort had gone off the crossbar.

Nearly a quick response from the visitors as Asigri Mohammed had an opportunity to level things up but his strong hit went straight at the throat of goalkeeper Afful.

With fifteen minutes to wrap up half time, the host had another chance to double their lead but Bernard Kesse's effort was gathered calmly by Mohammed Abdul Ganiu.

In the second half, Karela United returned on a stronger note in search for equalizer whereas Lions looked really calm with the ultimate aim of preserving their lead.

On the 60th minute, Emmanuel Owusu Boakye brilliantly found his way in enemy territory and directed his shot in the right side of the post but his effort was saved once again by Daniel Afful.

On the 91st minute, Karela United got themselves back on level terms kind courtesy a cool finish from Samuel Attah Kumi.

Just two minutes after going down, the Lions scored again to restore their lead through Ali Mohammed and it finished 2-1 for the home team after full time.
