Bernard Somuah's first half strike was enough for Asante Kotoko to edge Asekem FC with a slim 1-0 win in a preseason friendly at the Dr. K.K Sarpong Sports Complex.
This was to redeem themselves from the goalless draw with PAC Academy earlier today at the the same grounds.
The Porcupine Warriors of course were really on top in terms of possession and everything throughout encounter but struggled to find the back of the net.
However, with few minutes to first half, they finally snatched the lead through new teenager Bernard Somuah- just what they had been hunting for with series of attacks.
Asekem FC looked really impressive this time around, having improved massively from the last time they played the giants- in a tie they lost 3-1 seasons ago.
This is Kotoko's fourth game so far since regrouping for preseason and ain't much focused with the results but are looking forward to how their preparations will go extremely well to have themselves adequately ready and poised for the season.
